Our Beliefs

                                              Welcome to Greater Life Church!

In this fast-paced, competitive, go-get-’em society we live in, every moment counts and is pivotal. Thank you for choosing to spend a few of those precious allotments of time with us. Of all the places you could be, you are here! Thank you.

As you peruse the various aspects of what our ministry has to offer, we trust that you will be both uplifted and motivated to give your personal relationship with Jesus Christ some serious consideration. If it’s in it’s infancy, nurture it. If it’s sick, strengthen it. If it’s healthy, rejoice in it! The bottom line is, you need to be diligent about your relationship with God! For it is in that relationship where you will find: righteousness, peace and joy!

Greater Life Church is a Bible-based church! We’re Bible-based in that we seek to base all of our beliefs and our lifestyle on explicit passages of the Bible or on biblical principles. Based on Scripture, we believe the Bible standard of full salvation, which is repentance, baptism in water by immersion in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the initial sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. See (Acts 2:38)

We understand everyone has sinned and needs salvation. Salvation comes by grace through faith based on the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ. (See Romans 3:23-25; 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9.)

Salvation for mankind is provided only through the efficacious, shed blood of Jesus Christ (Hebrews 5:12, 26). Salvation is the gift of God (Ephesians 2:8). When one accepts the message of Christ by faith, they will be “obedient to the faith” (Romans 1:5; Acts 6:7). This “obedience of faith” (Romans 16:26) is what the believer does in appropriating the fullness of Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection.

Christ died: We “die to the old life” through repentance (II Corinthians 5:17).

Christ was buried: We are buried with Him in water baptism (Romans 6:4).Christ was resurrected: We are resurrected with Him through the infilling of the Holy Spirit (Romans 6:4; 8:11; I Corinthians 15:45). The Apostle Peter capsulized this at the birthday of the church (Acts 2:38).

Once you experience the power of the Holy Spirit, we as Christians, are to love God and others. We should live a holy life inwardly and outwardly, and worship God joyfully. The supernatural gifts of the Spirit, including healing, are for the church today. (See Mark 12:28-31; II Corinthians 7:1; Hebrews 12:14; I Corinthians 12:8-10.)
